Winter Maintenance Programme 2009 / 2010
 

• Remove and pick up leaves from all areas of the golf course (12 weeks work)

• Remove turf, raise and re-level Ladies 8th tee and turf with a shade tolerant turf.

• Remove scrub from waterway in front of ladies 8th tee (near bridge).

• Remove turf and re-level winter tee on Men’s 7th tee and turf with a shade tolerant turf.

• Verti Drain all fairways, tees, and walk off areas from greens and tees.

• Drain wet areas around greens to include holes 2, 3, 10, 13, and 15.

• Remove existing tree stumps from all areas of the golf course (70 in total)

• Spray fairways, tees, green surrounds and walk off areas with worm irritant and soluble iron.

• Earthquake greens, to relieve sub surface compaction and improve soil porosity and water percolation.
   
  The successful completion of all winter maintenance work must take into consideration adverse weather conditions.
